Helen B. Hall of Knowlesville peacefully entered into rest September 1, 2015 at the age of 93 at the Orleans Community Health Skilled Nursing Facility in Medina.

Helen was born on May 19, 1922 in Kent N.Y. the daughter of the late Leo C. and Marie (Weichbrodt) Bandemer, a graduate of Albion High School Class of 1940. She married Irving E. Hall of Knowlesville on Feb. 24, 1945 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Medina. After graduation she was Post Mistress in the Knowlesville Post Office for a short period of time. She was then employed for over 20 years with the Marine Midland Bank in Medina retiring as Head Teller in 1980.
She was active for many years in the Girl Scouts of America having served as registrar, Troop Leader and Division Chair for the Medina- Lyndonville area. She received the Eileen Heye Adult Volunteer Award in 1993 having made a positive difference in the lives of young women of tomorrow. She was also active with the Medina Chapter of the Salvation Army.
For the past year she enjoyed the warm support and companionship of the residents and staff at the Orleans Community Health Care Skilled Nursing Facility.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband Irving on May 6, 1977, her brother, DVM Herbert L. Bandemer and sister, Mildred B. Wells.

Survivors include a son John (Mary Ann) Hall and a daughter Janet (Darrell) Smith, all of Medina, 7 grandchildren: Margaret (Gary) Roberts, Beth (Ed) Lake, Kimberly (Alan) Banks, Wendy (Robert) Scharlau, Michael (Christen) Smith, Amy Hall and Katherine (Nate) Dauphinais, 8 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Bandemer of Fairport, NY, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 on Tuesday, September 8, 2105 at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, where a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Kim Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Bates Rd. Cemetery.
