Helen Elizabeth Davis Helen Elizabeth Davis, 84, of Elkton, MD, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015. Born in Jamestown, NY on November 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Anna Evans Holmquist. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. She was an active member of 1st Baptist Church, Elkton and loved being with her family and friends and decorating her home. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Davis, Jr. and brothers Jon and Wayne Holmquist.. Survivors include her daughters, Susan Schirling, Port Deposit, MD and Melissa Hoots, Rising Sun, MD; grandson, Brandon D. Davis, Elkton, MD; granddaughter, April Clemons, Frederick MD great grandchildren, Liam and Seamus; and siblings Jill Eastep, Hannah Purcell-Long, Len Holmquist, Kris Torrance and Pat Benson. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 3, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice, 253 Lewis Lane, Suite 303, Havre de Grace, MD 21078.
