Helen Manney Penrose, 94 year-old resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away Dec. 11, 2017. Born Nov. 17, 1923 in Henryetta, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Jack Fulton Manney, Sr. and Ethel (Graves) Manney. She was a proud veteran of WW II having served in the Marine Corps. Helen was a longtime clerk at Tinker Air Force Base. She loved traveling and had traveled to Europe in 1971 on her dream trip. She was a member of the Rebekah's(I.O.O.F.). Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Andrew Penrose, Jr., and by 3 brothers. Survivors include one daughter, Joan Louise Penrose of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one niece, Sherry and her husband Rod McLaren of Mead, Oklahoma; one nephew, Weldon Manney of Denver, CO; one great-niece, Dr. Monica Woodall of Durant, OK; and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73141 with Dr. Richard Chew officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
