Helen M. Sherman, age 93, of Shelby, went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 15, 2017 in Hart, Michigan. She was born September 7, 1923 in Ferry Township to Charles and Lillian (Dertherick) Dyer. Helen married Frank Adrian Sherman on November 23, 1942. He passed away January 17, 2005. Helen enjoyed family time, cards and bingo. She is survived by her sons, Edward (Mary) Sherman of Hart, David Sherman (Diana Seeley) of Rothbury and John (Barb) Sherman of Hart; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her niece, Dorothy Dyer Venema of Fruitport. Besides her husband and her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Diana Osborne Sherman; brothers, Floyd, Harold, Carl, George and Joe Dyer; and her sisters, Alta "Eldie" Blohm and Lucille Lydens Nelson. A graveside service will be held Friday, May 19th, 2 pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Rothbury with Pastor Dan Barnum-Steggerda officiating.
