Henning was born on January 5, 1918 and passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016.

Henning was a resident of Panama City, Florida at the time of passing.

He was commissioned second lieutenant in the Army Air Corps reserves and served as an instructor pilot and pilot of B-24's in the American theater of World War ll. In 1951 he was recalled to active duty and flew T-6 aircraft in the Korean War where he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for bravery and heroism.

Henning was married to Dorothy.

Graveside services will be held on Monday December 12 at 10 a.m. in the Long Island National Cemetery Farmingdale NY.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Our Savior's Lutheran Church 16 Glenwood Rd Glen Head NY 11545.
