Henry DeBrunner Clarke, Jr., formerly of Greenwich, CT and Vero Beach, FL passed away on March 31, 2013 from complications of Alzheimer's. Henry was born on May 19, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Carson Long Military Academy in New Bloomfield, PA and attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna, his seven children: Robert Clarke (Mary) of Naples, FL; Terilynn Steele (Bob) of Sterling, CA; Henry D. Clarke III (Dawn) of Orange, CA; Michael Clarke (Kristi) of Vero Beach, FL; Danielle Shader (Mark) of Yorba Linda, CA; Kelly Heartquist (David) of Coppell, TX; David Clarke (Kori) of Cos Cob, CT and 21 beautiful grandchildren.

His acumen in business and philanthropy took him all over the world.

His love of music, art, books and ice cream never waned.

Among his accomplishments was the donation of the United Way building in Greenwich, CT and the creation of the Clarke Forum for Contemporary Issues at his Alma Mater, Dickinson College where he served as a trustee from 1978 until his death. He helped make Klondike Ice Cream bars a household name and was involved in the ice cream business for most of his life. He was also an active member of Greenwich Country Club and John's Island Club for many years.

A memorial service will be held the weekend of May 19, his 80th birthday, in Vero Beach, FL. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer & Parkinson Association in Vero Beach, FL or the Clarke Forum at Dickinson College in his memory. Condolences may be offered at www.RestlandCoppell.com.
