Henry "Lloyd" Green passed away on May 8, 2017 at the age of 92.



Graveside Service: 2pm Friday May 12, 2017 at Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6pm to 8pm Thursday May 11, 2017 at Laurel Land Funeral Home.



He was born on September 20, 1924 in Comanche, OK to Chester and Margie Dudley Green. Lloyd had many jobs including farming and metal building construction in Odell, TX, was a truck driver hauling hay for himself and his father then driving for Beauly Mills, worked the assembly line at General Motors, was a fishing guide at Scenic Point Lodge on Possum Kingdom Lake, was a welder, but his main career was being a police officer in Fort Worth, TX for 25 years. Lloyd enjoyed hunting and fishing from a early age. In fact, there were many days he skipped school to go fishing at Wander's Creek. After retirement he got his 100-Ton Sea Captain's License and was Captain of his own deep-sea fishing charter boat. After returning from the coast he enjoyed raising cattle and organic gardening. In recent years he spent most of his time making comments and telling stories on Facebook with his many friends.



He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his three children Jorene Bardin Green; both his parents; sister, Oleta Wiley; brother, Darwin Green.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Janet Lilly Green, one son, Dwayne Green and partner Tom Poulan, two daughters, Verna and husband Larry Lewis, Darleen and husband Rick Robbins; four grandsons, Ronnie Green, wife Amy and their two children, Mitchell and Macy; Jeff Lewis and Lora Phillips; Matthew and wife Krystle Robbins; Michael Robbins; brother, Leasel and wife June Green, and sister, Patsy Bardin, along with many nieces and nephews.
