Henry P. Flynn, 92, of Hamilton Square, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, Mr. Flynn was a lifelong area resident. He served during World War II and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He then worked for the U.S. Post Office as a special delivery carrier for 36 years until retiring in 1986. Mr. Flynn was a two time Past President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He was a communicant of St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Holy Name Society and the St. Gregory Senior Citizen Club. Mr. Flynn was well liked in the community, a devoted family man and proud of the home he resided in since 1954. Predeceased by his parents, James and Sarah Flynn and his beloved wife of 53 years, Catherine (Scott) Flynn; Mr. Flynn is survived by his children, MaryAnn Flynn of Hamilton Square, Henry P. Flynn and his wife, Donna of Yardville, Kitty Hicks and her husband, Henry of Yardville, Eileen Folmer and her husband, Jeffrey of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Brian Flynn, Jennifer, Melissa and Henry Hicks, and Maura, Shannon, Claira and Matthew Folmer; his brothers, Gene and Jerry Flynn; his sisters, Kathleen Flynn and Ellen Vickers; many treasured nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Boomer, Cassie and Squiggy. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, New Jersey. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, New Jersey 08690. Interment will follow at Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville, New Jersey. Family and friends may call on Monday, March 30, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Flynn's memory Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 248 East Chestnuthill Road, Suite 4, Newark, Delaware 19713.
