Herbert A. Cannuli, 87, formerly of Sinking Spring, passed away July 29, 2016 in Rittenhouse Village. Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Dominic and Catherine (Cannuli) Cannuli. Mr. Cannuli was an US Army veteran and was employed as an inspection foreman for Reading Company and Conrail for 36 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Herbert loved animals, especially dogs; county music and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include sister Mary A. Floyd of NC; nieces Evelyn J. Augustine, wife of John of Laureldale; Sandy Jones of NC; nephew Michael Jones of NC and many cousins. He was preceded in death by brothers Michael and David Cannuli. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mr. Cannuli’s memory to Berks County Humane Society: 1801 North 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604. Services will be held in Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home, 444 North 9th Street, Reading, Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00am, Rev. Joseph S. Ganser officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 10:00-11:00am.
