Herbert was born on February 3, 1934 and passed away on Friday, August 4, 2017.

Herbert was a resident of North Carolina at the time of passing.

In 1952, after he was graduated from Williston Industrial High School in Wilmington, North Carolina, he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, August 11, 2017, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church located at 3400 Beatties Ford Road in Charlotte, NC. The visitation will be held from 6:00-6:30 P.M. followed by the funeral service at 6:30 P.M. Lamb Funeral Home Inc. will be serving the family.
