Herman was born on July 26, 1930 and passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017.

Herman was a resident of Delphos, Ohio at the time of passing.

He was a 1948 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School.

He was a veteran of the US Army and instructor on tank repair on proving ground in Aberdeen, Maryland.

Memorial services will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Nelson officiating. Memorial viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. Military Burial Rites will be held by the Delphos Veterans Council immediately following the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial viewing will also be held at Harter and Schier Funeral Home on Monday, September 11, 2017, from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Diabetes Association , or St. Peter Lutheran Church. Visitation at the St. Peter Lutheran Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on September 12, 2017.
