Hewitt was born on July 21, 1929 and passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016.

Hewitt was a resident of South Portland, Maine at the time of passing.

He attending Vanderbilt University and Harvard Medical School.

He served in the U.S. army medical corps in Korea.

Hewitt was married to Elizabeth.

A celebration of Brownies life will be held at First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church 524 Congress Street Portland Maine on January 14 at 2 p.m.
