Homer Harold Jones, Jr., 88, of Bearden died Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. He was born March 2, 1929, in Bearden, Arkansas. Homer was owner of Homer Jones Motor Company, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bearden, 32nd degree Mason, Lion's Club, Cabun Clinic Board of Directors, and former mayor of Bearden. He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Harold Jones, Sr. and Dorothy Gatling Jones Duckworth; and son-in-law, Glenn Bailey. He is survived by one son, Jay Jones; three daughters, Melinda (Dave) Davison, Donna (Mike) Vaughan, and Ginger Bailey all of Bearden; one brother, Dr. Jimmy Jones of Arkadelphia; nine grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Bearden.
