Homer was born on May 3, 1932 and passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018.

Homer was a resident of Oklahoma at the time of passing.

Homer, a native of Wilburton and a proud Choctaw, was a graduate of Wilburton High School, Oklahoma City University and St. Paul's Seminary in Kansas City.

A wake services honoring his life will be held at 7 PM, Friday, March 9, at Mary Lee Clark United Methodist church in Del City, a church that was in its infancy when Homer joined while a student at OCU. A funeral service will be held at the same location at 10 AM, Saturday. Burial will be in Center Point Baptist Church cemetery in Wilburton where he will join his three predeceased brothers. Graveside services will be held at 3 PM for those of his acquaintances who are unable to attend the services in Del City. The officiate for all services will be the Reverend Alvin Deer, who is a long time professional colleague of the deceased.
