Dr. Hayes was born on October 18, 1936 and passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018.

Dr. Hayes was a resident of Spartanburg, South Carolina at the time of passing.

Chesnee High School was his alma mater and he attended Spartanburg Methodist, Clemson School of Veterinary Science and received the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 1964.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to: Youth Mission Trip, Morningside Baptist Church, 897 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302 or to the charity of one's choice.
