CALDWELL
Ina Kirby

Ina Kirby Caldwell, 94, of New Castle, VA passed away on Tuesday February 13, 2018. She was a member of the Forks of Johns Creek Christian Church and active in the Johns Creek Fire Department for many years. She dedicated her life to serving her Lord, her family, and her community. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Wendell M. Caldwell, and her parents Aner and Mattie Kirby; three brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by two daughters, Patty Taylor and husband Norman, and Kay D'Ardenne and husband Roy; four grandchildren, Rodney Taylor, Kimberly Settles, John Larkins IV, and Kirby Walke; and 10 great grandchildren and two very good friends, Rusha Epperly and Polly Frith.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Forks of Johns Creek Christian Church. Interment will follow at Huffman Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Paitsel Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Forks of Johns Creek Christian Church, c/o DeVonne Reynolds, 42 4th St, New Castle, VA 24127, or Johns Creek Fire Department, c/o Eric Day, 116 Dicks Creek Road, New Castle, VA 24127.
Thanks to her minister, Bill Frazier and to Chaplain Gary Kingery at Richfield for nurturing her spiritual needs. A special thanks to the staff at The Oaks Assisted Living at Richfield for caring for her over the last 6 years. The staff and the residents of The Oaks became like family to all of us.
