Irma Neal Pyles Emde, 96, of Judsonia, AR, died peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2016, at the Heritage Living Center in Conway, AR. Mrs. Emde was born on October 31, 1919 in Judsonia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Hilton Emde, her parents, Loyd and Edith Moore Pyles, her brother, Loyd Henry Pyles, and numerous other close relatives.

She was a teacher in Plainview, Judsonia and Kensett, and she and Hilton operated the Emde Motel in Judsonia. She volunteered at CARTI and was an active member of Judsonia First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her last first cousin; Tommy (Lydia) Sharp of Newport Beach CA; a niece, Jane Sheffield of Atoka OK; nephews Ted Bennett of Minden LA and Derrik Land of Little Rock; and caregivers Jack (Meg) Thompson of Colleyville TX, Jim (Teresa) Thompson of Conway, Kathy (Chris) Cooper of Conway, Carolyn (Keith) Mullins of Conway, and Susan (Mark) Freedle of Conway.

Funeral services will be at the Judsonia First Baptist Church at 11:00 o'clock on Tuesday, January 19 with visitation to follow. Memorials may be made to Judsonia First Baptist Church or Judsonia Evergreen Cemetery Trust. Funeral arrangements are by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. www.powellfuneralhome.net
