Mrs. Irna Delin, 87, of Greensboro, died June 20, 2017 at Ashton Place Health and Rehab in McLeansville. Services for Mrs. Delin will take place in Florida.
Irna was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Louis and Betty Kaminsky Morgan.
She retired as a secretary for the City of New York after more than thirty years of service. Sixty plus years of her life were spent as a supportive and loving wife to Albert Delin with whom she had two children. During his years of illness and until his death in 2008 she was his loving caregiver. She and Albert raised their family in NY and spent the majority of their lives there however, when Albert became ill, it was time to move to better weather. They moved to Del Ray Beach, FL for the weather, then to Memphis, TN to be near their daughter, Sindee. After Albert's passing, Irna moved to Greensboro where she joined Sindee and her family.
Irna was a well-spoken, independent woman who was willing to share thoughts and opinions with anyone. She was a fun-loving grandmother who indulged her granddaughters with shopping. She enjoyed playing Mah Jong and eating at Boston Market and good Chinese Restaurants. Irna always kept a supply of Swedish Fish to share.
She is survived by her son, Howard Delin of FL and daughter, Sindee Wiener and husband Dan of Greensboro; granddaughters, Britney Moore and husband Ryan of Greensboro and Stephanie Hunsaker and husband Jake of Fuquay-Varina; and nephews, Bruce and Scott Morgan. Her brother, Paul Morgan, has preceded her in death.
