Jack was born on November 6, 1922 and passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018.

Jack was a resident of North Carolina at the time of passing.

He attended and graduated from New Hanover High School where he won first place in the Unchanged Voice in the North Carolina State Music Contest.

His duty included 13 months flying in the Pacific Theater before being released by the Navy from active duty in 1946.

Jack enrolled in Wake Forest College, now known as Wake Forest University, in 1940. He was called into service and left Wake Forest to join the Naval Air Corps in 1942. Jack resumed his education in 1946 at Wake Forest and obtained a B.S. degree and then a law degree from Wake Forest in 1949. While at Wake Forest, in the post war years, he was elected Student Body Vice President and served on the student council and student legislature. The family will have a private burial and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice and Palliative Care Center or the charity of the donor's choice.
