John R. "Jack" Geosling

John R. "Jack" Geosling, 79 years old, of Edina, Missouri, formerly of Green City, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Excelsior Springs Hospital in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.

Jack was born March 9, 1937 in Boynton, Missouri to Carroll and Ramah (McCarty) Geosling. On February 6, 1956 he married Marge Fields Wyant.

Jack was survived by, a son, David and wife Candy Fields of Green City, Missouri, a sister, Linda and husband Don Campbell of Excelsior Springs, a brother-in-law, Kenneth Snelling, a nephew, Troy Snelling of Excelsior Springs, Grandchildren, Donnie and wife Angela Fields of Green Castle, Missouri, Danita and husband Rusty Gordon of Green Castle, Great Grandchildren, Devin Fields, Layton Fields, Gracey Gordon, and Clare Gordon, several cousins, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Ernest and Rose (Banner) Geosling and Frank and Hattie (Call) McCarty, and a sister, Shirley Snelling.

Jack worked as a truck driver, a welder by trade, did carpentry work and had many other skills. He loved horseback riding, breaking horses, and going on trail rides. He also enjoyed country music and visiting with friends. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

Funeral services for Jack will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, east of Green City. A visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 AM.
