South Bend - Jack L. Mazlo, 87, of South Bend, passed away on Sunday July 6, 2014, in Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend. He was born on March 11, 1927, in Mishawaka, IN, to the late John and Frances (Scott) Mazlo. He married Bernice A. Nordblad on August 16th 1947. In August 1951, he married Helen Doris "Sue" Nay, who preceded him in death on October 1, 1975. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Yost, Joan Temple and Janet Smith; and by a brother, Gerald Mazlo. Jack is survived by his daughters, Judith A. (Ed) DeCraene and Robbin S. (Clay) Rininger, both of South Bend and Terrie G. (Art) Klenk of Jackson, MI; seven grandchildren, Dawn Marie Grabowski, Myra Sue DeCraene, Nicole Michelle Drabecki, Jennifer Marie Gerber and Jeanine Marie Kocsis and Andrew Joseph and Adam Christopher Klenk; four great grandchildren, Allison and Adrienne Grabowski, Nina Gerber and Lenny Kocsis; a sister, Betty Jean Mazlo of South Bend; and by a sister-in-law, Lynn Mazlo of CA. Mr. Mazlo was a Certified Mechanic for Bendix Corp., where he worked for 35 years before retiring in 1987. He worked for Monaco Coach for three years, from 1998-2001. Jack was a WWII Army Veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcyles, cars and NASCAR. There will be no service, cremation has taken place.
