Jackie Heath McCoy departed this life June 22, 2017 after an extended battle with dementia. She was born in Cove City November 9, 1931. Between these two dates in time, she had a full and blessed life. She enjoyed many good times with her family and friends. An exceptional mother, homemaker, and gardener. She modeled for her family a deep faith in her Lord and Savior.

She was a faithful member of Core Creek FWB Church in Cove City, participating in all parts of the church family, choir, ladies auxiliary and the yard committee. She had a servant's heart. She enjoyed the Ladybug Red Hats, Christian Women's Club and Friends of the Library.

She is preceded in death by her husband L. V. McCoy; parents, Hope and Ebb Heath; sister, Caroleen Boyd; and son-in-law Jimmy Smith.

She is survived by her children Jennifer Smith; Vernon McCoy and wife, Linda, Beth Banks and husband, Joe; grandchildren Jay Smith and wife, Veronica of Jettenbach, Germany; Heath Smith and wife, Laura; Hope McCoy Mauney and husband, Jimmy; Matthew McCoy and wife, Liz of Izmir, Turkey; and Christina Monette and husband, Joey; great-grandchildren Ethan, Koen, Landon, and Logan Smith, Melody, Jacob and Avalin Mauney; Cora and Lydia McCoy; Eli, Norah and Emma Monette.

The funeral service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Core Creek FWB Church, Cove City. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service in the Cove City Cemetery.
