Smith, Jacqueline E. Asleep in Jesus on Monday, November 14, 2016.

Beloved and devoted wife of the late Edward "Rudy" Crotser and A. Harold Smith; dear mother of Trudy (Jack) Schlereth, Victoria (Sam) Ingrassia, Richard (Eleanor), Randall (Joy), and Eric (Joyce) Crotser; dear sister of the late LaVerne Easley and sister-in-law of the late Ernie Easley; dear stepmother of Kevin (Barb) Smith and Mark (Patty) Smith grandmother of 10, great-grandmother of 13, aunt, cousin and friend.

Jackie was employed with Allstate Insurance Company for many years as a Property,Casualty adjuster. She started out in the clerical department and worked her way up to an adjuster. All the while, she cared for her 5 children and ailing husband. She retired from the Auto Club of Missouri as a personal injury adjuster. She enjoyed meeting with the claimants in the hospital or their home working with them to make a fair settlement while keeping their well being in mind.

Mom worked hard and played hard. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to her 5 kids; from babysitting to painting a new/old house and anything in between. At the age of 50, she started riding a motorcycle. Her favorite pastime was card playing, putting together difficult puzzles and calling bingo at the retirement home. She didn't like to play bingo, but she really enjoyed calling and her fellow neighbors liked it to. Her voice could be heard anywhere in the room.

She volunteered in the Nursery department at St. John's Mercy giving the newborns their first bath and giving lots of cuddles while sitting in the rocking chair. She also was a part of the Ladies of the Clowns as Harold was a Shriner's clown. She would participate in bringing gifts and goodies to children at Shriner's hospital.

Her lady friends and she would make and distribute sandwiches and baked cookies to homeless shelters.

Jackie and Harold were "snowbirds" for 3 to 4 months a year and took their RV to Florida to sit in the sun and to meet with their card playing friends and looked forward to learning a new card game. They also traveled to all the lower 48.

We love you Mom. See ya on the flip flop.
