James A. Steele, 76, of Union, CT, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Oscar and Angela (Tristano) Steele. Jim served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam era, and worked as a chemical engineer at General Dynamics for many years. For the last several years, he was the caretaker of the Boy Scout Camp in Union, CT. Jim is survived by his sister, Angela Steele of Brooklyn, NY; two nieces, Dina Wilson and Linda Soriero; and one nephew, Edmund Soriero. He was predeceased by his brother, Philip Steele. His funeral will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Church Service at 11 A.M. at the Congregational Church of Union, 976 Buckley Highway, Union, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Union East Cemetery, Union, CT. Calling hours are on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 5:30-8:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
