James was born on March 11, 1949 and passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017.

James was a resident of Hodgenville, Kentucky at the time of passing.

He was raised in the Methodist faith and was baptized at the age of 8. Jim served in the United States Army, attaining the rank of sergeant.

Jim worked and retired from Texas Gas, owned and operated the "One Stop Golf Shop" in the East End of Louisville, real estate agent for Century 21, a former dispatcher and owner/operator of Mercer Trucking in Louisville and a former member of Suburban #740 F & AM Masonic Lodge in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. John Routh officiating. Burial will follow in the South Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday and after 9.
