James Anthony Peredo Sr., 57, of Lake Jackson TX went to be with his Heavenly Father on May 3rd 2017. Jimmy Boy passed away in his home, surrounded by his family and friends. Jimmy Boy was born on January 28 1960 in Guam, to Mac Echipare & Maria Leon Guerrero Peredo-Echipare. On March 24, 2011 he married Genoveva "Jenny" Olivas in Clute, TX and they celebrated every day of marriage until his passing.
Jimmy Boy was a great man who worked hard and played hard. He spent more than 17 years in the United States Army before retiring. He earned his Master's in Project Management and used his education and dedication to hard work to provide a good life for his family. He spent many years working for the city of El Centro, California. When he wasn't busy at work, he enjoyed the world around him. He was a long time Mason. He loved to fish, spending as much time on the water as he could. He loved to hunt, being outdoors and seeing nature all around him. He was an awesome cook, he loved to barbecue and grill. Jimmy Boy was a man who saw value in things around him. He spent time fixing and repairing whatever was broken. He kept an immaculate home and yard. He also loved free things. If you had a take-a-penny out, he just might take ten.
Jimmy Boy is preceded in death by his parents, Mac Echipare and Maria Peredo, and two sisters, Evangeline Mendiola and Linda Vera.
He is survived by his wife, Genoveva "Jenny" Peredo; as well as 10 children, Chivonne, James Jr., Melanie, Brandy, Justin, Jose, Maggie, Nela, Indira, and Maria; his 5 grandchildren, Anthony, Nautica, Iessa, Patience, and Shay.
He is further survived his siblings, Vivian Cruz, Roy Peredo, Faye Drexler, Peaches Oliva, Frank Peredo, and Lena Urquhart; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday May 11, 2017 at 6:00pm at Restwood Funeral Home, with a Vigil followed by a Rosary starting at 7:00pm with Deacon Gary Forse officiating.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday May 12, 2017 at 11:00am, with Msgr. Leo Wleczyk officiating.
Following the funeral mass, James Peredo will be laid to rest in Restwood Memorial Park.
