James B. Hanna ORANGE- James B. “Judas”,”Juja” Hanna, 59, of 87 High Street, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Athol Memorial Hospital, following an illness. Born on October 17, 1950 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, he was a son of William and Agnes (Cichanowicz) he grew up in the Bridgeport and Stratford, Connecticut area, graduating in 1968 from Jonathan Law High School. James was married to Natasha (Collins) on December 2, 1972 and had enjoyed over 37 years together. A printer, chef, nurse, and musician, James had worked at the Baldwinville Nursing Home before his illness forced him to retire. James loved music, animals, nature, books, people, and children and was our music guru who inspired his friends and family with his tenacious, courageous, humorous, and love of life in spite of many years of illness. Survivors include his wife, Natasha; sisters, Patricia of Connecticut and Beth Ann of Japan; brothers, Keefe and William, both of Connecticut; many nephews and nieces; a Godson, Brian of New York; his dog “Kookie” and his cat “Dottie” who were a great comfort to him. Besides his parents, James was predeceased by a brother, Michael. There are no calling hours. There will be a celebration of James’ life on April 25th starting at 2 p.m. at his home, 87 High Street, Orange. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor’s choice. Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is directing the arrangements.
