Mr. James Clendon Chastain, Jr, age 71, of Royston, GA, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Seasons Hospice in Cumming, GA.

Born May 12, 1946 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late James Clendon Chastain, Sr. and Frances Adams Chastain.

He was a member of Toms Creek Baptist Church, read his Bible every day and was self-employed as a sign painter. He was a United States Navy Veteran.

Family members include his sons, James David Chastain and Clyde Chastain; daughters, Leah Nicole Chastain, Marilynn Chastain, and Jamie Sturdivant Chastain; sister, Gain Browning; grandchildren; James David "JD" Chastain, James Avery Chastain, Austin Chastain, Keragan Chastain, Adyson Grace Chastain, Coen Fisher Chastain, Jonathan Wallace and Emmitt Wallace.

A memorial service will be held at ten o'clock Wednesday morning, February 14, 2018 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 9am until 10am Wednesday.
