James Edward Carter 75, passed away of natural causes on June 15, 2017 in Lincoln, California.

Jim was born in Sacramento, California may 6, 1942. He lived an active productive fulfilling, life making lasting impacts all throughout his life. A life long San Francisco Giants and 49'er fan he was raised in Chico and Orinda, California.

Jim owned and operated Folsom Lumber in Folsom, California in the 1970's and Sylvan Lumber in Citrus Heights in the 1980's; he managed the Lumber Jack Store on Greenback Lane until he retired. he spent the last 10 years enjoying his retirement in Del Webb Lincoln Hills.

He is survived by his Wife Barbara, Son Thomas (Ritamarie), Daughter Tenise Ward (Steve) 6 Grandchildren ,7 Great grandchildren, and Sister Janet Garrett. He was preceded in death by parents Lloyd and Burniece Carter.

Jim and Barbara traveled many places and especially enjoyed RVing. When he was younger Jim he enjoyed pheasant hunting with his father and son Tom. In his high school years he spent his summers working and staying in their family cabin in Lake Tahoe, California. He will be missed everyday by his loving wife Barbara, family and many life long friends.
