James F. Walker, born August 12, 1932 in Alma, MI, the son of Howard and Doris Walker, passed away on December 22, 2016 at the age of 84.
James was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War Conflict. In 1997, after 22 years of dedicated service, he retired from Getman Corporation. He was employed by Warner and Swasey for 17 years and was a resident of the Mason community for 14 years. James loved old cars and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and restoring old pedal cars. Jim had a love of life and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara Diehl. Surviving to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 64 years, Helen; his daughters, Linda (Robert) Niklas, Nancy (Randall) Hoag; Grandchildren, Leslee (Shawn) Hankey, R.J. Niklas, Sarah (Troy) Miller, Jeffrey (Kristen) Hoag; Great Grandchildren, Abagail Hankey, Gabriel Hankey, Clara Hoag, Anna Hoag, Christopher Niklas, Jacob Niklas, and Walker T. Miller; brothers, Howard (Lucille) Walker, and Richard (Jane) Walker. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
