A graveside memorial service will take place at Quincy East Lawn Cemetery on April 21, 2018 at 11:00 for James I. Overstreet. He passed away in his Quincy home on March 30, 2018 at the age of 81.

Born September 9, 1936 at Rich Bar in the Feather River Canyon to Harry and Sarah Wolf Overstreet, Jim had lived most of his life in the Quincy area. He was a graduate of Quincy High School and Chico State College, now California State University Chico. A veteran of the United States Army and later a Vista volunteer, Jim worked for the Forest Service and was a Neolife distributor. A long distance runner, Jim completed two 50 mile runs and numerous marathons.

His volunteer service included the Board of Directors, Central Plumas Recreation District. Jim was a passionate advocate for human rights and animal rights and maintained a keen interest in politics. He was also interest in and knowledgeable about aircraft and about the events of the Second World War.

Jim left no close family, but had a circle of great friends.
