James was born on September 12, 1930 and passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

James was a resident of Spencer County, Kentucky at the time of passing.

After high school, he attended Purdue University and received a B.A. in Agriculture and a Masters in Ag Economics.

He was an Army Veteran.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 17, 11 am to 8 pm, at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home, 10600 Taylorsville Road, Jeffersontown, Kentucky, 40299. A Memorial Service and Interment will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 10:30 am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 4700 Lowe Road, Louisville, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
