James was born on May 26, 1927 and passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017.

James was a resident of Illinois at the time of passing.

He graduated from Loyola University in 1950, and has always given thanks for the G.I. Bill which enabled this.

Following his graduation from St. Ignatius High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy, and was stationed on Guam during his service in World War II.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5th from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville, IL 60540. A Mass of Christian Burial for James Duffin will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 6th at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd, Naperville, IL 60563. Interment to follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville, IL.
