James “Jim” Buckmaster



Jim passed away on July 25, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born in Rapid City, SD on April 3, 1939 to Claude and Ellen Dolores Buckmaster. He graduated in 1958 from Deadwood (SD) High School and furthered his education at Milford (NE) Tech School with a degree in Diesel Mechanics. He served in the United States Navy from 1958-1962 as a Pararigger and airplane mechanic. He retired from LES after 31 years of service. Jim was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed a lifetime of fishing at Lake Oahe in Pierre, SD. Jim was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a longtime member of Bill and Bob.



Preceded in death by parents.



Survived by wife, Carolyn; daughters, Wendy Buckmaster (Eddie Jones), Cindy (Brian) Bonge, Jessie Enfield, Carol Scheve, Crystal (Ron) Meyer and Connie (Ed) Kreikemeier; grandchildren, DeAndre, Joshua, Jeana, Gage, Thomas, Victoria, Savannah, Taylor, Devan, Monica, Jacob, Brooke and Sara; brother, Claude “Sonny” Buckmaster; sister, Kay (Guy) Virkula and brother in-law, Dale Kasparek, sister in-law, Cheryl (Mike) Hendricksen and a host of other relatives and friends.



Memorials suggested to the family for later designation. VISITATION Friday, July 28 from 10am-8pm with family 5-8pm and FUNERAL SERVICE Saturday, July 29 10am with all services at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment Lincoln Memorial Park. Condolences:lincolnfh.com
