James M. Stoudenmire passed away on Wed. January 17 at the age of 90. He was born and raised in Fresno, spending 15 years living and working in Firebaugh and then returning. Jim was a graduate of Fresno Technical High School where he met Dorothy Etcheverry. After graduation in 1945 and as soon as he turned 18, Jim and Dorothy were married July 19, 1945.

Jim worked in the dairy industry his entire life starting at Challenge Creamery at 14 years old washing bottles. He later worked delivering milk to homes and then schools and grocery. He was a self employed distributor of Producers Dairy products for a time. Jim finished his career back at his beloved Challenge as Branch Manager from February 1984 until his retirement 8 years later in July 1992.

In his early years Jim enjoyed packing back into the high country to hunt with his buddies. He was also an avid fisherman, golfer, and bowler. Jim was able to bowl with his friends at Young At Heart until the age of 89. Jim loved to watch the 49ers and especially Giants baseball and also old western movies.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy, and his son, David.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Stogner, her husband Don, and two grandchildren, Rebecca (24) and Daniel (22)

No services will be held. His inurnment will be at Belmont Memorial Park.
