James was born on April 20, 1937 and passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018.

James was a resident of Illinois at the time of passing.

He graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1955 and went to work for Illinois Bell Telephone Co. as an installer and trouble shooter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held February 16, 2018, at 10:30am at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Rockford at 1243 N. Church Street. Visitation will take place from 5-8pm the night before, Thursday, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home at 3910 N. Rockton Avenue, Rockford, Illinois.

In 2000, he was presented the Boylan Veritas Award for his contributions of time and service to the school.
