James V Mucklow, 76, of Loveland, passed away on September 22, 2010 at McKee Medical Center. He was born on March 25, 1934 in Franklin, NE, to Charles and Fern (Reams) Mucklow. James graduated from Franklin High School and then joined the U.S. Army. He married Sylvia Vap and later married Judith Hale Buderus in Las Vegas, NV. He worked for Hested's Store in Buffalo, WY, and owned the Ben Franklin Store in Fort Collins, Colorado. In the late 1960's, he started his own Travel Agency in Fort Collins. From that time on, the world of travel continued to be Jim's passion. James was a member of Fort Collins Rotary for 34 years and also a member of the SKAL Travel Organization in Denver. He was an avid supporter of 4-H and Girl Scouting. He loved Pingree Park, the mountains, and fishing. He especially enjoyed taking his children all around Colorado visiting ghost towns, camping, and "jeeping". With an open heart, Jim was always there to lend a helping hand and include nieces, nephews and friends in his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bart and Loren; and a sister, Beverly. He is survived by his wife Judy Mucklow of Loveland; sons, C.J. Mucklow (Nancy) of Steamboat Springs, Mark Buderus (Penny) of Wetmore; and Gerry Buderus (Jan) of Wetmore; daughters, Debbie Starling (Bob) of Columbia Falls, MT, and Sherrie Grenda (Chris) of Westminster; brothers, Chet Mucklow (Goldie) of Texas and Bud Steinshouer (Thelma) of Nebraska; and grandchildren, Andy and David Mucklow of Steamboat Springs, Clint, Ty, and Bryce Buderus of Wetmore, Chad and Brent Grenda of Westminster, and Amber and Ashley Buderus of Wetmore. Visitation will be held 4pm – 6pm Monday at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at King of Glory Lutheran Church. Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens. A reception will follow the interment at the King of Glory Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation Cancer Center Project in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. Highway 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
