James William "Bill" Ogg, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Bethlehem Woods. He was born July 11, 1931 in Van Wert, OH. He was an Ossian High School Graduate and then served in the U. S. Army. He was co-owner of 3 Kings Floor Covering, working in sales and installation. He retired in 2009 from Clark and Mitchell. He was a member of American Legion #82. He always enjoyed old cars, especially during his visits to Auburn. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid musician, teaching himself to play the organ. He thoroughly enjoyed the time he and his wife lived in Florida, as the Keys were one of his favorite places. He is survived by his children, Cynthia (Greg) Striker, Bill Ogg, Cathy (Jeff) Hakes, Karen (Chaplain Jonathan) Richey, and Daniel (Susan) Ogg; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; half-brother Rex (Becky) Ogg; and half-sister, Barbara Vogley. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Edna Ogg; and his wife, Bonnie Lou (Butler) Ogg. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11 AM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian Indiana 46777 with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Preferred memorial may be made to Visiting Nurse Hospice.
