Janet Lee Sandberg, 69, of Bath, MI passed away May 16, 2017. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 23, 1947 to Jesse and Theresa (Lieber) Pogue Sr. Janet grew up in Skokie, Illinois before moving to Mattson, Illinois with her husband, John Sandberg. They settled in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area for many years. Janet retired from PNC Bank after 25 years as a customer service representative, a job where she truly enjoyed serving her customers. Outside of work, Janet loved the Cubs, gardening in her vegetable garden, and traveling, especially to historical sites. Above all, she loved being a mother and a grandmother.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marie Dosch.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, John Sandberg; sons, Kevin (Paula), Darren, Brian (Amy), John; grandchildren, Emily, Erin, Josh, Jacob, Christian, Spencer, Delaney, Olivia, and Lily; brothers, Jesse (Linda) Pogue Jr., William (Debbie) Pogue; sister, Deborah (Kevin) Clark; and brother-in-law, James Dosch.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00am the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge Street, DeWitt, MI. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 2pm until 4pm and again from 6pm until 8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington St., DeWitt, and again one hour prior to the Mass.
