Mrs. Jacqueline Walker Capps, 95, wife of the late Walter Edwin Capps, Sr., passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.


Born in Greenwood County, a daughter of the late Allen Randolph and Lillian Rebecca Young Walker, Mrs. Capps retired from Easley Manufacturing and was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.


Surviving are a son, Walter Edwin Capps, Jr. (Jane) of Anderson; a daughter, Sandra Patterson (Gary) of Liberty; a brother, Bubber Walker of McCormick; two sisters, Belle W. Story of Washington, GA, and Sallie W. Rice of McCormick; four grandchildren, Stephanie Edwards (Keith), Michael Patterson (Sarah), Corbin Grant (Hank), and Walker Capps (Julie); and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Capps was predeceased by three brothers, Ran, Jay, and Lin Walker; and a sister, Frances W. Langley.


Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Thursday, October 13, 2016 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.


The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:15 PM Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.


The family is at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Gary Patterson.
