Age 93, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Arbor Woods Assisted Living in Jackson, Michigan. Jean was born January 15, 1923 in Wakeeney, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Joseph and a son, James. She is survived by five children, Sherry (Ed) Rainey, Bud (Jan) Dubnicki. Patricia Dubnicki, Kip (Dan) Brown, and Thomas Dubnicki; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Jean was a caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was having her family near and watching the children grow. Jean loved caring for babies and took care of several newborn foster children who she nurtured until they were adopted. She spent many winters in Florida with her husband, enjoying the warmth and sunshine, her love of the warm sun continued here in Michigan, as you could often find her sitting in the sun, catching a few rays. Per Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no service scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, National Processing Center, P.O. Box 13067, Alexandria, VA 22312.
