Jeanne Reynolds, 94, of Hot Springs passed away peacefully and with grace on September 22, 2017. She was born in Aberdeen, Scotland on April 16, 1923 to the late Joseph and Mary Helen Donald.

When she was a child, Jeanne’s family relocated to England. There, in the turmoil of World War II, Jeanne met the love of her life. Everything became clearer when Jeanne met Joe Daniel Reynolds, an American soldier. Jeanne and Joe met at a dance in 1943 and married the November of that same year.

She would later make her way to the United States with their oldest child aboard the Queen Mary with other War Brides and their children.

Jeanne was an avid reader, a talented seamstress, and a wonderful cook who loved to entertain.

Above all, Jeanne was an incredible mother and a dedicated, loving wife. She and her husband lived frugally to ensure all three of their children would receive a college education.

Meeting her in Heaven is her husband of over 50 beautiful years, Joe Daniel Reynolds and sisters, Sheila Wright and Pat Johnston.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Joe Donald Reynolds (Lynn), Helen Louise Wujek (Dan), David Ian Reynolds (Jose Martinez); grandchildren, John Brian McLean (Megan), Allison Gindi (Jeff); great grandchildren, Dylan Powell, Jacob McLean and Claire McLean.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 4th at 11:00 A.M. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Macular Degeneration Research Foundation at supportbrightfocus.org.
