Jeannine McClure Sansing, 84, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on June 15, 2017. Jeannine died surrounded by family in her daughter's home. Jeannine attended City High School and worked at Farmers Chemical until her retirement. Jeannine loved to travel and frequently spoke of her travels to Israel and Egypt. For years, Jeannine taught Sunday School and stayed very active in her church. She is currently a member at Graceworks Baptist Church. Jeannine loved serving the Lord and her unconditional love extended to all who knew her. Her children and grandchildren were counted among her greatest joys. Jeannine was an avid gardener and fastpitch softball enthusiast. She traveled all over the country with her granddaughters watching them compete and remained a fan of the UT Chattanooga Lady Mocs until her passing.
Jeannine is preceded in death by her parents, Leon (Kit) McClure and Opal Glass McClure of Chattanooga, TN; husband, Jimmy Earl Sansing; and daughter, Jeannine (Kit) Massey.
She is survived by her brother, Leon (Chip) McClure (Robin); her son, Bobby L. Coker, Jr.; daughter, Shannon Alexander (Tim); grandchildren; Justin Griffith, Beth Edgar (Ben), Brooke Ray(Daniel), Meghan Graham (Jason), and Derek Morse; great-grandchildren include; Joseph Graham, Alex Edgar, Eli Edgar, Ty Edgar, and Reagan Ray.
The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice and nurse Kailey Ellis for exceptional care and compassion.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 18, from 1:00 to 3:00 and again on Monday, June 19, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time at The Chattanooga Funeral Home followed by A Celebration of Jeannine's life which will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 p.m., with interment to follow at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga.
