Jennifer Jean Carlson, 50, of Valdese, NC, passed away peacefully at home July 17, 2021, after a long illness. Jennie was born September 30, 1970, in Ashtabula, Ohio. She was a 1988 graduate of Westside High School in Anderson, SC. She began her career in banking at First Federal in Anderson, SC, and continued to work in banking after moving to Morganton, NC. She enjoyed helping people and continued to do so in later ventures as a store manager and bookkeeper. Cooking and baking were a passion of hers, especially with and for her children and others. Favorites were her broccoli cheese soup and pumpkin roll!
She is survived by her parents Barbara and Tom Carlson, Anderson, SC; her children, Sarah White York (Kelly) and son, Jacob White, step-grandson, Spencer Stutesman, all of Valdese; her sister Melissa Carlson Davis (Mike), Belton SC and their children, Adrien Shearer, Riley Shearer, Kay Davis and Marie Davis; Sierra Wellman Clonch who she loved like a daughter; and her two loyal puppies, Abby and Tink.
The memorial service will be held in the chapel at Heritage Funeral Service, 1507 Main Street East, Valdese, NC at 2:00 PM Saturday July 24, 2021.
The family will receive friends at Heritage Funeral Service at 1:00 PM Saturday until the time of the service at 2:00 PM.
