Verona / Mineral Point - Jeremy K. "Whit" Whitford, age 41, of Verona and formerly of Mineral Point passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from complications of his heart.

He was born on September 4, 1976 the son of Laura and Kevin. He graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1995 with High Honors. He moved to California for 5 years where he enjoyed life to it's fullest. He moved back to Wisconsin and worked as vice president of Recreational Concepts where he took pride in creating the ultimate back yard. He was a proud and devoted employee. He enjoyed life everyday to the fullest and was always the life of the party. Whit liked snowmobiling and a good camp fire with family and friends, "Whittious God of Fire".

He is survived by his mother Laura (Chuck) Knutson of Platteville, his father Kevin (Lynn) Whitford of Jonesdale, sisters Mary Anne Kirk and Danielle Whitford both of Anderson, CA and Misty Whitford of Dubuque, IA, his brothers Shawn (Lisa) Knutson of Dodgeville and Curt (Keirsten) Knutson of Mineral Point, grandmother Jean Weitzel and grandfather Gordon Whitford both of Dodgeville, and several nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and very special friends Jeff and Jamie Kjelland.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Marian Whitford and grandfather Bill Weitzel.

Jeremy's wishes were to have a Celebration of His Life, to be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Dodge-Point Country Club starting at 4:20 p.m.
