SOLSBERRY - Jerry Dee Rader, Sr., passed away on September 4, 2016, in Solsberry, Indiana, at the age of 67. He was a former truck driver and owned a wrecker service.
Jerry is preceded in death by his son, Jerry Rader, Jr.; parents Elmer Rader and Della Mae Webb Humphrey; one brother Cleo Rader; and one sister Janet Cox.
He is survived by his wife Donna (Bowers) Rader of Solsberry; three daughters, Julia Diane Johnson (Michael) of Plainfield, IN, Jennifer Dawn Bedinger (Thomas Farnsworth), of Zionsville, IN, Sarah Michelle Liddle, of Dumas Mississippi; two step-sons Gregory Lee Johnson and Bradley Scott Johnson (April Payne), both of Bloomington; a step-daughter Tania Annette Johnson of Solsberry; twenty two grandchildren, Tyler Rader, Amber Rader, Carissa Johnson (Michael Cox), Caitlen Johnson, Camryn Johnson, Daniel Ives, Kyle Reeves, Jacob Bedinger, Olivia Farnsworth, Jessica Liddle, Matthew Liddle (Jessica), Kaylee Coultas, Gregory Johnson, Jr. (Megan), Victoria Johnson, Gracie Johnson, Casey Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Colton Oliver, Michael Oliver, Dakota Sims, Cheyanne Sims and Brandon Byers; seven great- grandchildren, Brennen Cox, Cayden Cox, Jayden Liddle, Bryson Liddle, Elayna Liddle, Garrett Johnson and Cameron Georgetti; his former wife, Mary Susan Rader, of Indianapolis, IN; his step-mother, Mary Jane Smith of Bloomington; three brothers, James (Judy) Rader of Bloomington, his twin Gerry Lee Rader of Bloomington and Jeffrey (Roberta) Rader of Koleen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, archery and spending time with his family. He was a collector of many things.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third Street, with Pastor Mark Hafenbreidel officiating; burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 8th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
