Jimmy Dale Odle, 58, of Little Rock, died May 24, 2017. Born on October 10, 1958, Jim was the third of four sons of Ed and Ray Ellen Odle. Jim spent most of his life in Little Rock, AR. In 1969, his family moved to Jackson Street in Hillcrest, where the four Odle boys found themselves living across the street from the Longinotti family-- including six girls. Jim became best friends with one of the Longinotti girls, Debbie. The two eventually fell in love and dated through high school and college, marrying in 1978. Jim and Debbie were each other’s soulmate and one true love.

Jim spent much of his career in sales, both auto parts and material handling. He spent his last years in sales at Flexion Material Handling. Jim was most recently employed with the city of Little Rock’s police department.

Shortly after the birth of his second daughter, Jim converted to Catholicism and joined Christ the King Catholic Church, where he was a parishioner, usher, and Eucharistic Minister for several years. He would later join Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic Church where he worshiped until his death.

Formerly a Razorback football fan, Jim enjoyed attending UCA football games in his later years. He loved cooking, trout fishing, hunting, country music, telling stories, and spending time with his family. His most cherished memories were his daughters’ weddings and the births of his granddaughters.

Jim is preceded in death by his mother, Ray Ellen Odle, and his in-laws, Jim & Dodie Longinotti.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Debbie Odle; daughters, Jessica (Shane) Remsing, and Angela (Ryan) Moore; granddaughters, Aidan Remsing and Olivia Moore; father, Ed Odle; and brothers, Eddie (Susan) Odle, Tommy (Vicki) Odle, and Donald (Kim) Odle.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Our Lady of Holy Souls Catholic Church with Father Thomas Marks, celebrant. Entombment will follow in Holy Souls Columbarium. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. on June 1, 2017, in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111.
