John was born on July 21, 1942 and passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

John was a resident of Gorham, Maine at the time of passing.

He attended Gorham schools through his sophomore year of high school, transferring to Gould Academy as a junior.

He graduated from Gould Academy in 1960, the University of New Hampshire in 1964, and served in the Army National Guard for six years.

Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM., at Dolby Funeral Chapel, 76 State St. Gorham. Interment will be in North St. Cemetery, in Gorham, at a private family graveside service, previous to his public services.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in John's memory to: The Reed Allen Foundation 2 State Street Gorham, ME 04038 The Reed Allen Foundation is a charity established in 2013 to help Gorham area people in times of crisis.
