John was born on April 26, 1926 and passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016.

John was a resident of Antioch, Illinois at the time of his passing.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Visitation will be from 12-4PM on Sunday September 18 2016 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH 1055 Main St. Rte. 83 Antioch IL. Funeral services will begin at 9:15AM Monday September 19 2016 from Strang Funeral Home to St. Bede Church 36455 N. Wilson Rd. Ingleside IL. Funeral Mass will be held at 10AM. Interment with military honors will be held at 12:30PM Monday in Mt. Carmel Cemetery Hillside IL. INFO 847-395-4000.

In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions Purple Hearts Reunited Capt. Fike P.O. Box 2121 Georgia VT 05468 or to the 24th Infantry Association in Johns memory.
