John Gale Wilcoxon, born February 7, 1940 in Berkley, West Virginia, to George and Mrytle [Trail] Wilcoxon, passed away December 16, 2017 at the age of 77. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 26 years, serving 2 tours in Vietnam and traveling abroad. John met the love of his life, Deanna Curts at Luke Air Force Base, where they were later married on December 17, 1971. Following his military career, John attended Lansom Business College in Tucson, AZ, graduating with a Bachelor's degree. He also worked for the Superior Court in Tucson and retired after 18 years. John was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather; family meant everything to him. He enjoyed reading mystery books and caring for his yard and his hummingbirds. He was also an avid sports fan, especially University of Arizona (U of A) basketball; he never missed a game. John is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Deanna Wilcoxon; sons, Randy (Katie) Clark, John Paul (Michelle), Donald (Tori), Rick and Steve Wilcoxon; daughter, Jacqueline Wilcoxon; grandchildren, Matthew and Cameron Wilcoxon, Derick Clark, Karen "Pix" Maese, Brandy Galipo, Bo Clark and Cody Wilcoxon; as well as numerous great grandchildren and other extended family members.
